SpaceX FieldĪ landing strip is currently included so I can takeoff and land while overflying to inspect the scenery in use. Your guess on the ultimate configuration is as good as mine, but here is one for fun. The platform I developed last September when the "Mary - Maria Pointer" spotted a platform being renovated in the ship canal. The Use of the beach area is less do-able for regulatory reasons of course. The some truly "fictitious" areas may be included from time to time in the experimental branches, Sea Launch Platform which is a plan on record is rendered from time to time near shore. (These in the process of bring up-dated to reflect current content). Here are screen shots of the Boca Chica area in X-Plane 11. A zipped version of the most up-to-date installation is here, along with most supporting development materials (objects). The, "IATA ID" of the semi-fictitious FAA recognized facility is informally SX20. Due to the unique nature of the buildings and other structures etc., fidelity varies.Īlthough strictly not an airport, I have created X-Plane 11 scenery for this FAA Licensed / Designated spaceport in South Texas. The Scenery I update still lags far behind my enthusiasm but enjoy (with the usual disclaimers) what I have completed so far. This project starts an ongoing process to keep current on a location I have been excitedly following nearly daily. The rapid development of both infra-structure and at the Boca Chica Texas sites has left both mapping and scenery lagging well behind the current details at the site. In order to submit to the Scenery Gateway the objects used must be moved inside the package - which will simplify getting all the objects needed. I Thank the creators of all these libraries. There are a number of external library dependencies at this time the most stable being OpenSceneryX, NAPS Library, waves library and others which are poorly documented here at this time. I believe in and support open source software whenever I can. Occasionally I do pre-design constructions with FreeCAD. I began using AC3D to build models for export, with the plugin ( ac3d_plugin_win_321r2) but have switched for most of my modeling to Blender and Xplane2Blender plugin. No warranty is implied whatsoever and these sets. Please leave any further issues below and I will endeavour to correct. The libraries used are: As well as OpensceneryX and SAM libraries. This scenery uses a range of different libraries as it is my first time making one and I did not pay attention to which libraries I was using. You are welcome to download, use and improve any objects and location scenery but at your own risk. Updated airport for Sunshine Coast featuring the new runway 13/31. Scenery here is in various stages of development before being submitted to the Scenery Gateway. Scenery development for simulations, centered on X-Plane flight simulator This is one of a number of projects for X-plane Scenery and Flying-craft.īeing interested in simulations, I am occupied in the updating and development of scenery for X-Plane 10+. Please read the included instructions for further information.X-Plane Scenery for SpaceX Starbase Boca Chica TX You have to run the included script once to set the path to the original XP12 vegetation inside the library. This Library uses the new vegetation for XP12. The type of vegetation is set according to 5 different climate zones, seasons are controlled by XP12. This is the global simHeaven X-World vegetation library for XP12, needed for all XP12 packages like X-WORLD Europe America Africa Asia Australia-Oceania Antarctica. The use of ortho sceneries is recommended, but not necessary. The X-WORLD Vegetation Library has to be installed, no other libraries needed. The quality is depending on available OSM data. Brings fantastic and stunning look to XP12. These are the recommended continental packages for X-Plane12, having already VFR-Landmarks and VFR-Aerials inside. I created this Ortho scenery for my SpaceX Starship model and its test flights and for Boca Chica Launch Site scenery.
